IASCL Conference 2021
We presented a poster at a congress hosted by the International Association for the Study of Child Language. We spoke about the relations between language development, social-emotional development, the type of school children attend, and the quality of life of children with (presumed) DLD. We found that children with lower language production and lower cognitive functioning attended special education more often. We also found that quality of life and social-emotional abilities were related: the better scores on one domain, the better the scores on the other. Better communicative participation was related to a better quality of life.
